Madlen Kobi held a guest input entitled "Urban Bricolage? An Anthropological Perspective on Labour and Skills in Circular Construction" for engineering and architecture students. The lecture was part of the course “Building Design in the Circular Economy”, led by Corentin Fivet and Maléna Bastien Masse and the main objective was to sensitize students for social, cultural and historical values when reusing building materials. Madlen in particular outlined that implementing circularity depends on people and contexts whether and how materials are being reused. Through the lens of "bricolage" (Claude Lévi-Strauss), the talk engages with the creativity needed to work with what is at hand.
