Madlen contributed with a talk on "A Supply Chain Methodology (?) An Anthropological Approach to Circular Construction" to a methodology workshop organized by the team of the SNSF-funded project "Maintaining Relations. Community-owned Hydropower Infrastructure Through Time" led by Prof Dr. Agnieszka Joniak-Lüthi at the Social Anthropology Unit, University of Fribourg. The talk explored how to ethnographically investigate different actors and stages in the circular economy of building materials with a focus on the reuse of parquet slats in Vienna. In the course of the workshop and stimulated by an input of Dr. Yonatan Gez from CEI-Iscte in Portugal, we also discussed the ways in which transdisciplinary research and collaborative approaches can be combined with ethnographic fieldwork.
